What is “Ugly Food”?
When we say “Ugly,” we don’t mean bad quality. We don’t mean food waste.
We mean Authentic Singapore Hawker Food that hasn’t been sanitized for a photo op.

• It’s the Hainanese Curry Rice that looks like a chaotic mountain of gravy (but tastes like comfort).

• It’s the Char Kway Teow, that comes tossed in dark soy sauce fresh out of a piping hot wok

• It’s the dishes that our grandparents ate, served on plastic plates under fluorescent lights.
